Integrated Services
"A portfolio of specialist placement options for multiple and complex needs"
Bryn Melyn Care provides a range of specialist services in order to respond to a range of overlapping needs. All our placements are supported by a fully integrated model that includes Education and Clinical Services. Detail on the services and approach in each of these disciplines is available on the following pages.
Often a young person will have different needs at different times, which is why we offer different types of settings: individual placements, shared homes, rural locations as well as urban environments. We can work with young people in crisis and in need of stabilisation, through longer term therapeutic care including preparation for independence and aftercare outreach.
We also have experience and expertise in a range of specific behaviours and challenging needs. These include: inappropriate sexualised behaviour, self harm, autistic spectrum disorder, attention deficit disorder, violence and aggression to name a few.
"Often the young person will display a combination of needs – every young person is an individual, that’s why each placement is specifically tailored." This is an easy statement for providers to make, and they do – but how many actually deliver on this? At Bryn Melyn Care, our intensive and bespoke packages fit around the young person…we don’t try to fit the young person into a vacancy in our service.
All our therapeutic work is underpinned by our membership and close involvement with The Charterhouse Group and Community of Communities to provide the context and evidence base for practice.
As you read this you may have a specific young person in mind. Information on different types of solutions can be found on the navigation bar on the left. Alternatively, feel free to call us and talk through the challenges with a member of our experienced team.
